Recognizing Webelos Scouts' hard work:

Webelos Scouts work for an extended period on the completion of requirements for each Activity Badge. For this reason it is very important that you take the time to properly recognize the completion of activity badge requirements.

There are many ways you can customize your

recognition program when awarding the Activity Badge pins to Webelos Scouts. The ideas presented below may be used in den meetings to signify all requirements for a particular activity badge had been completed. If desired, and the Cubmaster is agreeable, you may adapt some of these ideas to customize the Webelos portion of the advancement ceremony used at your monthly pack meeting.

Webelos Activity Pins

Aquanaut

Suggested Props: Towel, water, gold foil disk on

                             ribbon

Presentation:        Place towel and disk around boy's 

                            neck, wet hair and introduce the   

                            new aquanaut.

Artist

Suggested Props: Paint brush on ribbon, large sheet

                           of paper.

Presentation:       At beginning of meeting, award

                           brush to scout and then have den 

                           chief do a silhouette of the boy.

Athlete

Suggested Props: Olympic torch (made from

                            construction paper or cardboard).

Presentation:        Have the boy open the meeting by

                            carrying the torch around the

                            room.
