Induction Ceremony

SHERE KAHN - TIGER CUB TO BOBCAT INDUCTION

EQUIPMENT: Tripod, pot of dry ice, Artificial fire, Wolf cub neckerchiefs beakers of colored water-blue and gold.

TRIBAL CHIEF: Tonight we have gathered here to honor our young braves. We take the blue of the sky (pour blue water) and the gold of the sun (pour gold water both over dry ice).

SHERE KAHN: (interrupts loudly) I, Shere Kahn wish to test these braves before the honor is given them! What is the motto of the Tiger Cub? (the boys answer) Have you obeyed the promise of the Tiger Cubs? (YES!!)

TRIBAL CHIEF: (pull scarves from pot hands out to parents) Tigers, this is the emblem of your first rank in Cub Scouts. Wear it proudly. (parents tie neckerchief on boys in SQUARE KNOT) Adult tiger, this is the symbol for your deeds in preparing these Tigers for their next advancement in Cubbing. So all may know that you have done well, here is the writing to prove your efforts. (give certificate to each cub)
