CUBMASTERS MINUTE #1

As I look out upon this audience, I can see many different families. Each family is unique in its background and experiences. All of you have come together into this pack to share a very important experience -- participating in a program which is designed to give your son positive growth experiences in his life. By being here, you have shown your young son that you support him in these experiences. He advances in this program because of the support and help he receives from the adults in his den and in his home.

The families in our pack form a unique community. We share the common goal of raising our boys to be the type of young men who will be the strong leaders of tomorrow. Some will become leaders in their neighborhoods, while other will be leaders in their city. Some boys will achieve a broader range by becoming leaders in their state. A select few are destined to be the leaders of the nation.

To all of you future leaders sitting out in this audience tonight, please remember that to be the type of leader who is successful you must always remember you Cub Scout Motto: "Do Your Best"!
