Cub Scout Motto?" Cub Scouts reply, "Do your best." 8. December: Sing a carol. Tell about
Hannukah. 9. Do "Rhythmic Exercises"
from Group Meeting Sparklers. 10. Give salute and repeat the Law of
the Pack. 11. Tell the story of "The Star
Spangled Banner". Sing first stanza. 12. Sing "Battle Hymn of the
Republic". 13. Review meaning of Cub Scout
Promise. 14. Explain meaning of motto. Repeat
in unison. 15. Each Cub gives meaning of
Thanksgiving to him. 16. Read Gettysburg Address. 17. Tell story of Lord Baden-Powell. 18. Read the Conservation Pledge. 19. Repeat: Leader: "Do your
best." Cubs: "We'll do our best." 20. Sing a theme of the month song. 21. Sing Cub Scout advancement song. 22. Sing "Taps". 23. Give den yell. 24. Repeat "Pledge of
Allegiance". 25. Hold a uniform inspection. 26. Have a flag ceremony. 27. Have roll call with Cubs naming
Indian tribes. 28. Sing a song in the
"round". 29. Have Den Chief lead an applause
stunt. 30. Ask each Cub who Akela is and
give an example. 31. Have Denner and Asst. Denner
parade flaps past den members, who then come to attention and salute. 32. Repeat the Outdoor Code. 33. Light conduct candle and say.
"We open the doorway to a new adventure for today. May the flame
continue to burn throughout our entire meeting." |
