TO THE SAILOR


To the sailor, three things were essential - a compass, a sextant, and a flag to tell which way the wind was blowing. To Cub Scouts, these three things are important - a badge, a handbook, and a leader. The badge tells who you are and where you are going. The handbook tells how to get where you are going. . . and the leader is a guide, an example of caring adulthood, and a model to follow no matter which way the wind is blowing. These three things can lead you to a fulfilling and happy adulthood.
