WORLD CONSERVATION CEREMONY

Assistant C. M./Webelos DL EQUIPMENT: World Conservation symbol
wood burned on ceremonial board.
CUBMASTER: In his last letter to
Scouts around the world, Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting,
wrote "Try to leave the world better than you found it".
Tonight we are honoring Cub Scouts who have fulfilled Baden-Powell's
request.
ASST. CUBMASTER: In an age when
Nature is being used up faster than it can replenish itself, these Cub
Scouts have helped to stop that trend.

fulfill the requirements of the World Conservation award. They have
completed achievements and electives related to the outdoors in addition
to completing a den conservation project.
CUBMASTER: This award may earned only
once in a Scout's life and tells everyone that they helped to make the
world better for all of us.
Will the following Cub Scouts please
come forward: (Scouts come forward and are awarded badges.) Thank you for what you have done for
all of us. |
