These were made by a den. They are
each six feet tall and have a separate stands. They are placed in front
of the pack meeting to add a little atmosphere in a large room. They can
also be used as part of any ceremony. |

One more autographed prop. This one
was used as an Indian tomahawk one year and as a caveman club another.
The boys signed the feathers when the Indian theme was used. |

Remember the sword on the previous
page? Here it is in action. One sword, a folding chair and an old gray
army surplus wool blanket and presto…. King Arthur's sword in the
stone.
This is the prop that I use the most
when I teach ceremonies at Powwows. It shows how easy it is to make a
boys advancement memorable.
Which ceremony would a boy remember? A) Call a boy up to the front of the
pack and shake his hand while giving him his badge. OR B) Pull a sword out of the stone,
have the boy kneel, and then use the sword to knight him by touching him
on the shoulders as we all have seen in the movies. "Arise Sir
Cub"
If you chose "A", you
really need to have someone else do the ceremonies. If it was
"B", congratulations now your thinking
like the boys. |
