Citizen Suggested Props: Large "C"
on a string and discipline candle Presentation:
Place letter "C" around neck and put scout in charge of the
discipline (good conduct) candle for the remainder of the den
meeting.
Communicator Suggested Props: Small signal flag. Presentation:
Give flag to boy and have him signal the beginning and end of
the meeting.
Craftsman Suggested Props: Six to 25 foot tape
measure. Presentation:
Have the den chief measure the scout and announce that he
really measures up.
Engineer Suggested Props: Clip-on tie with
wire added so it will bend up. Presentation:
Present boy with the "Dilbert" award and have him wear
it
during the meeting.
Family Member Suggested Props: A picture of a
family group from a magazine and an old
picture frame (or one made from cardboard). Presentation:
Give the framed picture to the boy and have him set it at his
place during the den meeting to signify he had earned his
Family Member Pin.
Fitness Suggested Props: Can of spinach,
white paper or cloth sailor' cap. Presentation:
Present can of spinach to scout and have him strike a pose
and do his best "Popeye the Sailor man" impersonation.
Forester Suggested Props: Leaf (real or made
from paper, cardboard or cloth). Presentation:
Present boy with leaf award at the beginning of the meeting.
Geologist Suggested Props: Rock on a string. Presentation:
Present boy with rock and have him wear it for the rest of the
meeting. Tell him that his performance in earning the
geologist activity pin "really rocks"! Or, present him with a
picture of a mountain (from a magazine) and call it the
"Rocky Mountain Award".
Handyman Suggested Props: Bicycle Pump. Presentation:
Award pump to boy and let him hold it for the meeting. Tell
him that everyone is all pumped up about him earning his
Handyman activity pin.
